10:21 pm - desperate times
It's 10:21pm, I just got back from 14 hours on campus, and I'm locked out of my house.
I am sitting on the doorstep with my laptop, connected to my own wireless ... and have to be up tomorrow morning at 5am for work.
This is good.
Crossing my fingers for an unlocked window ...

Goddamned thrift stores. I hate it when you come across an obviously brand new, or worn once, awesome pair of pants or shirt or whatever at a thrift store and its twice the price of every other similar item there. Seriously, I go to the thrift store to buy cheap clothing, not to have my hopes dashed when the best piece of potentially cheap clothing turns out to be not such a hot deal. (I bought the pants anyways)
Also, at this rate, by the time I die whatever house I live in will be wall-to-wall books - purchased so far this week = all three books in the baroque cycle and the most awesome book ever. (much like my grandfather's house - seriously - he has about 25 floor-ceiling bookshelves filled with terrible and awesome fiction/fantasy/sci-fi/philosophy, etc)
99.3% done my download of history of violence - if it sucks I'm blaming YOU.

Going to go see agalloch and green carnation next friday, thankfully got the day off despite how unlikely I assumed it would be to get ANY friday off. (I'm working as a cook in a stupidly high volume restaurant, and friday is the busiest night of the week, by far)
I will be meeting up with ser
eternalxos and madame
suffocation for said show, people whom I have never met but promise to be far more interesting than I am. (If memory serves me I first met xos 5 or 6 years ago in the irc channel for some terrible old game, common ground being HEAVY METAL MUSIC) He is also the drummer for an awesome black metal band named after an archaic programming language. (actually I think it's named after a star, which itself might have been named after the programming language, or maybe the other way around? who knows - astronomers and scientists have not been strangers to giving ridiculous names, QED) Oh yes, the band name is ALGOL, and they are good.

12:10 am - so
I am considering actually updating this thing again in the future. I'm not completely set on it, and some of the coolest people on my friends list have removed me in my absence (*cry*), but it doesn't seem like too terrible an idea anymore.
Friends-only is for suckers, think I'll cut that out too.
(this is where you welcome me back and tell me how your lives unravelled solely due to me not updating my livejournal)

Don't bother asking to be added unless I know you.
